The Deep End | Episode 3

What does it actually mean when we say “God is with us”? If God is everywhere, is He somehow more present in a church building? Why could Moses talk with God but not see His face? Why does getting too close to God occasionally seem… hazardous to your health? And what do Eden, the Tabernacle, the Temple—and somehow a submarine—have to do with any of this?

In this episode of The Deep End, we trace God’s presence from the Garden of Eden all the way to Revelation and discover a bigger story running through the entire Bible: God wants to dwell with His people.

Along the way we wrestle with sacred space, cherubim, the Holy Spirit, whether church buildings are actually “God’s house,” whether you can run from God, and the incredible promise at the end of the Bible: one day, humanity will once again see His face.

It’s a deep one. Literally. We brought a submarine.
