Position Title: His Kidz Coordinator (Part Time - 10 hours per week)
Position Description: The His Kidz Coordinator supports theCHURCH’s Kids Ministry by coordinating the weekly operations, volunteer teams, and special events related to the ministry for children from birth through 6th grade. This role ensures that environments are welcoming, safe, and gospel-centered, helping to make it easier for kids to know Jesus.
Reports to: The His Kidz Coordinator will report directly to the Family Pastor and will be responsible and submissive to the Directional Team, Lead Team, and Integrity Team at theCHURCH.
Areas of responsibility:
- Leadership & Vision
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for His Kidz aligned with theCHURCH’s mission and values.
- Champion a Christ-centered, age-appropriate discipleship process for kids from nursery through elementary.
- Lead and develop strong teams of volunteer leaders.
- Kids Ministry Program Coordination
- Prepare and organize classrooms, supplies, check-in systems, and curriculum for all weekend and midweek children’s ministry activities.
- Ensure that all environments are clean, safe, and well-equipped.
- Work with the Family Pastor to implement creative and engaging experiences for children.
- Help plan and execute special events (e.g., Vacation Bible School, family nights, holiday celebrations).
- Team Member Scheduling & Support
- Schedule volunteers for all children’s ministry areas and communicate weekly assignments.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process by helping with background checks, training sessions, and appreciation efforts.
- Maintain up-to-date volunteer rosters and contact information.
- Communication & Administration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for parents and volunteers regarding schedules, events, and program updates.
- Assist with parent communication through emails, texts, social media, and printed materials.
- Maintain attendance records and help track children’s ministry data and metrics utilizing Planning Center (church database).
- Coordinate logistics such as registration, setup/tear-down, and supplies for all His Kidz programming.
Education and Experience:
- Tier 5 Leadership opportunity.
- Must align with the Mission, Vision, DNA and Core beliefs of theCHURCH.
- Must be a covenant partner of theCHURCH.
- Must be submissive to the leadership of theCHURCH.
- Should be gifted in leadership, communication, and making disciples who make disciples.
- Able to articulate theCHURCH Mission, Vision, DNA, and Core Beliefs.
