Position Title: AVL Technician (20 hours per week)

Position Description: The AVL Technician will provide technical expertise and leadership for the church’s sound, video, lighting and on-line streaming (in various formats) related to the Sunday morning worship experience. They will assist the Worship Pastor (Leader) and Music Director in creating an irresistible environment for worship on Sunday morning by implementing the vision of theCHURCH for our in-house and online audiences.

Reports to: The AVL Technician will report directly to the Worship Pastor (Leader) and will be submissive to the Directional Team, Lead Team, and Integrity Team at theCHURCH.

Areas of responsibility:
- Sunday Morning Worship Experience:
- Weekly stage layout and routing according to the scheduled band.
- Ensure that all AVL equipment is in proper working order before Sunday morning services.
- Provide overall technical assistance (cameras, switchboard, lighting, and sound equipment).
- Ensure livestream is recorded (video and audio) for worship services for our internet broadcasts.
- Provide feedback on A/V visual and sound quality during worship services and other major events.
- Video filming, production, and distribution:
- Assist Worship Pastor (Leader) with filming operations for solid ground, announcements, social media, and as needed otherwise.
- Assist with post-production of videos as necessary to ensure excellence in any video materials created by and for theCHURCH.
- Assist in ensuring that social media, website, pre-service slides, etc. are maintained so that only current information and  announcements are available to the congregation.

Other Responsibilities:
- Work with leaders (AVL director, Sound, etc.) to identify and develop new team members, lead teams and create succession plans for each area of responsibility.
- Provide training on technical operations of all equipment associated with AVL production.
- Attend all rehearsals and meetings as directed or required.
- Miscellaneous tech tasks assigned by the Worship Pastor (Leader)
- Availability for special services as needed (funerals, weddings, etc…).

Education and Experience:
- Tier 4 Leadership Opportunity.
- Must align with and be able to explain the Mission, Vision, DNA and Essential Beliefs of theCHURCH.
- Must be a covenant partner of theCHURCH.
- Must be submissive to the leadership of theCHURCH.

Preferred:
- Experience in A/V production – preferable with a worship focus.
- Experience in creating and mixing quality sound in large venues.
- Experience working with a variety of audio, video, media and lighting equipment.
- Proficiency in ProPresenter, LightKey, Waves Audio, ProTools, Planning Center, Adobe Suite and Ableton Live.
- Experience as a Team Leader, Production Manager or similar position.

- High proficiency in technical troubleshooting on computers and A/V equipment.
